Crystalline glazed mug 4.75” tall and holds 19 ounces. The mug is fully vitrified, watertight, lead free and microwave safe. Dishwashing may etch the glaze surface over time, so hand washing is recommended.
Crystalline glaze is a special type of glaze where zinc silicate crystals form through chemistry and a complex firing schedule to create two dimensional crystals on the surface of the porcelain ware. The amount of time held at various crystal growing temperatures contribute to the shape and size of the crystals. Crystals occur randomly in the glaze, making each piece unique.
